Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey Presents: Another Movie About Incest...

Set in Harlem in 1987, Precious tells a story of a sixteen-year-old African-American girl born into a life no one would want. She’s pregnant for the second time by her absent father; at home, she must wait hand and foot on her mother, a poisonously angry woman who abuses her emotionally and physically. School is a place of chaos, and Precious has reached the ninth grade with good marks and an awful secret: she can neither read nor write. Precious may sometimes be down, but she is never out. Beneath her impassive expression is a watchful, curious young woman with an inchoate but unshakeable sense that other possibilities exist for her. Threatened with expulsion, Precious is offered the chance to transfer to an alternative school, Each One/Teach One. Precious doesn’t know the meaning of “alternative,” but her instincts tell her this is the chance she has been waiting for. In the literacy workshop taught by the patient yet firm Ms. Rain, Precious begins a journey that will lead her from darkness, pain and powerlessness to light, love and self-determination.

Starring: Gabourey ‘Gabby’ Sidibe, Mo’Nique, Paula Patton, Mariah Carey, and Lenny Kravitz

Release Date: November 2009
Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire

  1. Hey Mod
I knew you were going to mention this sooner or later and you never let us down! LOL
This is a REALLY sick novel written by someone who resembles a hermaphrodite who goes by the name "Sapphire". One of my colleagues had this novel and I read it on a boring day at work.
I was literally sick to my stomach!
It's more psychological conditioning to see the black man as an incestuous lowlife/rapist and I absolutely hated it! And I JUST KNEW that dyke bitch Oprah would promote this garbage! Ever since I was a teen I always believed that Oprah hated men (especially black men) she always seems to surround herself with projects that focus on black men as being straight up animals while promoting lesbianism. Ugly fat bitch is damn near a billionaire yet she still has the mindset of a 1800 century SLAVE! After you read this book(which I seriously do not reccommend) all that will stay in your mind are the very GRAPHIC details of the character being her biological father's sex slave as well as her mother's punching bag AND sex slave as well. Not to mention other characters in the book being abused and raped by black men. There's not even a happy nor positive ending! Now I am a grown ass woman and this messed with my head so imagine my horror seeing TEENAGE girls reading this book on the subway(yes it's being promoted by APEprah's book club and in HEAVY rotation)being conditioned to fear men and embrace lesbianism.
Now I am waiting for homosexuals to attack my statements and I will not back down because I always knew they had an agenda, they are VERY SICK PEOPLE who are trying to poison everyone with their moraless spirit! Don't try to brainwash people into believing you are normal or decent because you are NOT!
Use this book as toilet tissue because that's what it is. It is ANOTHER attempt to discredit the black family structure and make them out to be scum while a hermaphrodite swoops in to save the day!

  2. @Lady Dee

I totally agree with you, this book was disgusting. I think Oprah has the spirit of a slave master. She keeps telling the same sorry story, the suffering black mammy and the vicious animal beast black man. Caucasian people love her because she's doing a good job keeping these negative images going year after year.

  5. Oprah only appears in Movie that relates to "Rape", incest, disrespect and i find it very odd that she always look like a struggling hermaphrodite in the movies she played in.

Oprah is trying to tell us he story. She was raped by her father and her mother was raped by her grandfather.

Oprah gave birth to her father's deformed and hermaphrodite children. Oprah's so-called mother is her hermaphrodite brother!

Oprah's story is so sick and twisted. She's promoting this shit because this is the only thing that she knows.

I told you all about slavery!

Black women were picked up from Africa and raped here in America. They bore children from the white man. They white man raped their own children and forced these children to have sex with each other. As a result, hermaphrodite children were born.

Now these white women are running to Africa to adopt hermaphrodite children. They are paying for this children. It's the same shit that happened during the years of slavery. They were "sex" slaves and i see that nothing has changed.

Harriet Tubman was born as a hermaphrodite. You see, Harriet Tubman was considered a leader of the hermaphrodites. This society always lived "underground".

Despite being a conductor of the 'Underground Railway' she helped free hundreds of other "hermaphrodite" slaves.

Take a look at the pictures of Harriet Tubman. She wasn't a male or a female and they didn't have hormone pills during that time for her to take control her image.

  6. ", Precious tells a story of a sixteen-year-old African-American girl born into a life no one would want. She’s pregnant for the second time by her absent father"

Precious was born into a life no one would want = Her parents were related and she was born with ambiguous genitals (a hermaphrodite).

She's pregnant for the second time by her absent father = a pregnant hermaphrodite preparing to birth another hermaphrodite.

  8. look at the release date = November

They are planning to release this around Thanksgiving.

Is this Oprah's way of thanking her father for raping her and birthing his hermaphrodite children?

    This bitch is sick!

  9. Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry are lending their names to promote "Precious," the drama that won the Grand Jury and Audience awards at this year's Sundance.

Among the film's stars are Paula Patton ("Deja Vu"), Mariah Carey and young Gabourey 'Gabby' Sidibe as Precious, an abused, overweight teen in Harlem who hopes for a better future. Despite the film's bleak trailer, it's supposed to be a story of "hope and optimism," says one viewer.

The movie was originally titled "Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire," but was renamed the more lyrical "Precious" after being picked up by Lionsgate after a bidding war. Comedienne Mo'Nique, who plays Precious' abusive mother, won the Special Jury Prize at Sundance.

"The View's" Sherri Shepherd also appears in the movie, which will be released in theaters later this year.

  10. Yes, it was a disturb movie, people live like that everyday. You never know what goes on in a home. The book was out before Oprah and Tyler made the movie. So, blame it on the book editor.

  11. So sad how we still turn on each other as African Americans. Only one thing to say about your stone throwing, those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. We as a race can't progress because so many of our stupid, ghetto, ignorant, thug children and crackhead parents have forgotten what our ancestors went through so that they could be trifling.

Just know this, if you were educated and not part of that hater ignorance group you would know that it is theraputic to overcome any trial, hardship, tragedy, horrific ordeal and believe me rape, incest and mental and physical abuse come under that umbrella, one must get it out of their body or it festers like a boil. It poisons the body, the soul and the spirit. It is theraputic to discuss the REAL issues that some folks have endured. You have no idea what Precious's experiences of raising as a Phoenix from the ashes. Some poor tourtured soul may have been inspiered. Someone who had been mentally or physically beaten beyond hope. I have not been through that but there are many who have beleive that.

  12. ^^^that sounds good, spiritual and everything, but it is time for Nubian people to wake up!! All they ever show in these movies are negative stereo types of Black ppl. It is time to tell the REAL story.....Our-story, not His-story.

Hollyweird has a vested interest in destroying anything positive about Nubians. The hell with all that "she had a hard life shit". Hell who hasn't, all of us can make that claim. Other's stories being more devastating than some, but in spite of all that, we are the indigenous people that existed on this planet before any other races.

Oprah, Tyler, Diddy, Beyonce, Gay Z and all the rest of those demonic celebrities are paid very well to keep us looking down. Hanging our head in shame. This is BS.

WAKE UP, THE HOUR GLASS IS ALMOST EMPTY. MAY PEACE AND BLESSINGS BE UPON YOU.
