According to GayNZ.com, TVOne aired a documentary featuring the hermaphrodite, "Mani Bruce Mitchell" last week. The documentary is titled, "Intersexion" and it has been difficult to locate online. While searching for this documentary, i managed to stumble upon another documentary featuring Mani Mitchell titled, "Not To Be Invisible" on youtube. At age 40, Mani Bruce Mitchell reveals what life was like growing up as a hermaphrodite:

DeleteWow, while your at the book store, pick up a few encyclopedias and dictionaries while your qt it so you may learn that there are significant differences between hermaphrodite, transsexual, drag queen, eunuch, etc. And while incest may be taboo in western society, it does not cause more instances of hermaphroditism than non incestual breeding. For any of you who believe the " Adam and eve" story then we are all a product of incest therefore we must all be "hermaphrodites" according to this ridiculous theory! Truly intelligent people would know how insane and pathetic the authors of this garbage theory sound!

ReplyDeleteYes! Product of incest. You should read this from the very beginning. I have a friend who just married her cousin. She married her great grandmother cousin and now she's pregnant. If she give birth to a hermaphrodite i will let you know. If she doesn't give birth to a hermaphrodite, her child will be born with some sort of defect and maybe when that child grows older and have children of his own, well maybe that child will be born as a hermaphrodite. Take a genetic class. My friend refuse to take one because she know the results will be sadden. She has enough money to care for her child, so it doesn't matter. She want to be with her cousin and that's why she married him.

ReplyDeleteThis is not about sexual preference, but about who we truly are. Society has no problem accepting a blind child as a reality. So why the difficulty accepting other things which make some of us different in other ways?
It is true some of us live in bodies that are male of female but have a mind that does not function as a male brain or a female brain, but as both. We function as one or the other but never find our comfort zone on this earth.
Maybe that is because we are born more like angels then the rest of you, so as the song says "This earth is not our home- we are just passing thru ...."
