The Androgynous: Verdine White

Wikipedia states that, "Verdine was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 25, 1951. His father, Verdine Sr., was a doctor who also played saxophone and he grew up listening to recordings played by his father of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and other legends of jazz.". I find it rather odd that there's no mention of his mother on his Wikepedia page. Was he birthed through a female or a wo-man?

The folks over at theybf has reported that, "Legendary Earth, Wind and Fire bassist Verdine White is stepping into the designer spotlight. He’s now pushing his new “Verdine White Series of Vavas Diamond Eyewear”. One can easily associate Verdine's eccentric style as that of Rock and Roll. Do you find it a bit weird that Verdine was given a gender bending name? The designs featured in this clothing line, looks as if they’re for the androgynous. They say, the talented ones were forced to hide out in "bands", especially Rock Bands!



The folks over at Crunk + Disorderly had this to say, "I can’t feel my face. I should take the remainder of the day off because there is nothing more important than whats going in these pictures.
