A Ladyboy has committed suicide:

During the early hours of the 19th September, Pattaya Police and Sea Rescue were notified that a person had committed suicide by jumping off the Bali Hai pier and their assistance was requested. On arrival, police found many people crowding around the scene. The Sea Rescue had already sent a boat out to search for the body. Due to the darkness it took the team an hour to find the body, which turned out to be a young ladyboy who was not carrying any ID. Witnesses told the police that they noticed the ladyboy sitting alone, drinking beer and crying. Then suddenly he jumped into the water and began swimming out to sea. Police sent volunteers out to find if anyone knew the deceased. Someone came forward and told them that the man rented a room at Kasempak Apartments in South Pattaya. On searching the room, police discovered ID of 19 year old Wutchai Khamlue. Residents stated that he lived alone and worked as a street prostitute on Walking Street. Police assumed that the cause of suicide was a personal problem and the body was taken to Banglamung hospital and the family will be contacted to make funeral preparations.
